Oman - 5 Days Round Tour

DAY 01: ARRIVAL IN MUSCAT – MUSCAT CITY TOUR

Pick-up at the airport. Then, your city tour begins with a visit to the beautiful Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the Middle East. Later, we drive to visit Muttrah Fish Market. After that, we will visit Bait Al Zubair Museum. During the museum tour, you will be satisfied with the wealth of information you have learnt about the country’s structure, tradition, and heritage. Then we will stop for photos at the official residence of His Majesty, Al Alam Palace, flanked by the 16th-century Portuguese forts Al Mirani and Al Jalali. Next, we will walk along the picturesque Muttrah Corniche and visit Muttrah Souq, which retains the chaotic interest of a traditional Arab market. You will also be able to enjoy a moment along the corniche, admiring the various cruise ships on the water of Al Sultan Qaboos Port. From the Souq, check in to the hotel. Overnight stay at 3*/4* Hotel in Muscat.

Day 2: MUSCAT – WADI BANI KHALID (SWIMMING & WALKING SIGHT) – WAHIBA SANDS (DESERT) – SUNSET FROM DUNES

Pick-up at 8:30 & we will depart on an exciting 4wd journey through the mountains. Our first stop will be Wadi Bani Khalid, one of Oman’s most beautiful wadis. The wadi has clear, deep blue water and counts among the few wadis of Oman that hold water around the year. From the mountain springs, the water is led to the oasis where it sustains the typical date palms. After this, we will travel to Wahiba Sands, which is famous for its multicolored sand. As soon as we reach the desert, you will check in to the desert camp. The camp offers luxurious Bedouin-style air-conditioned accommodation and a variety of complimentary toiletries. The location of the camp in the wilderness of the desert emphasizes the beauty of the golden dunes surrounding it. After a spectacular view of the sunset, you will be ready to experience the delicious Arabic Cuisine the camp has to offer. While you sit around a campfire under the starry sky, you will be able to look at stars clearly, a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Dinner & overnight in the desert camp.

Day 3: DESERT - WADI SHAB WALKING & SWIMMING – SINK HOLE – BACK TO MUSCAT

After breakfast at the desert camp, we will continue to Wadi Shab. Upon arrival at Wadi Shab, you will transfer to a small fishing boat to be taken across the wadi to enable you to start your journey. You will walk through the amazing canyon until you arrive at the wadi, which leads to the Keyhole. Here you can relax; take a dip in the pools. You will have the opportunity to swim through a pool of crystal-clear water and dive through a narrow keyhole; inside you will find a magnificent cave, complete with an incredible waterfall. After enjoying walking and swimming, your first stop will be Bimmah Sinkhole. After travelling just a few kilometers, you will find yourselves where unreal mountains dominate. We will continue to the mountainous landscape, arriving at the dramatic Bimmah Sinkhole. Once you are refreshed, we will start the journey towards Muscat. Overnight stay at 3*/4* Hotel in Muscat.

Day 4: NIZWA - BIRKAT AL MAUZ - JEBEL AKHDAR

In the morning, we will drive to Nizwa, the historic city and Oman’s cultural capital. We will visit the Fort with its massive Circular Cannon Tower, one of the most impressive forts in Oman, and the traditional Souq. The Souq is a lively place and an ideal location to purchase handicrafts and souvenirs. And we are going to explore the old town as well. Next, we will depart for Jebel Akhdar (Green Mountain). On the way, we will stop by Birkat Al Mauz and have an opportunity to walk in the middle of a palm plantation at the foot of Green Mountain. On our next visit to the post, we will start our journey to Jebel Akhdar. This mountain offers discovery and adventure. We will experience and witness nature’s beauty in the soaring peaks and plunging canyons, along with the rise of terraces on extremely steep mountain slopes. There is a trek that goes from one village to another through the terraces and along the falaj system. There is a splendid view of the hanging terraces. After an impressive cultural day, it will be time to start heading towards Muscat and drop off at the hotel. Overnight stay at 3*/4* Hotel in Muscat.

DAY 5: DEPARTURE MUSCAT
