- Yu Garden (Yuyuan): Your first stop will be intricately designed Yu Yuan Garden, a classic creation of the Ming dynasty. Yu Garden is one of Shanghai’s best-preserved ancient Chinese private gardens.
- Shanghai World Financial Center: Shanghai World Financial Center, which is a super high skyscraper in Shanghai with a height of 492 meters. The 94th floor of the Shanghai World Financial Center tower yields an unmatched view of the city’s urban sprawl.
- Shanghai Museum (Shanghai Bowuguan): Covers most of the major categories of Chinese art with a collection of 12, 300 pieces in 21 categories of valuable cultural relics, including some donations from private collectors.
- The Bund: The bund. It is a 1.7km long waterfront walking promenade with a showcase of pre-1949 architecture. It is also the best place to compare the old and new Shanghai.
Old Street is part of the most ancient area of Shanghai streching from Zhonghua Road to Henan South Road. It is a nice walk wandering around to taste good street food, appreciate the old architectures and look for inexpensive souvenirs.
