The mountain, due to its height and shape, from time immemorial has been an excellent reference point for sailors. Behind the mountain are the ruins of the ancient city of Hursangal
At the foot of Mount Beshbarmag there is a holy place called “Pir Khidir Zundzha”, where travelers stop for prayers and worship. - The forest of Qachrash is one of the most picturesque and lively corners of Guba. The peculiarity of this area is given by the mysterious forest through which the road to Qachrash passes. It seems that the rays of the sun never penetrate this dense forest. In the magical forest, as in childhood, “the trees are so big” that the crown is not visible. Even in the most unbearable summer heat, it is always cool here – mountain streams of the bubbling Gudyalchay River with a roar go down and amaze with their grandeur.

Khinalug (Khinaliq, Xinaliq) is the highest, most remote and isolated village in Azerbaijan and among the highest in the Caucasus (elevation of 2,335 m) and amongst the oldest continuously inhabited places in the world. It is considered as one of country’s premiere destination with beautiful landscape and interesting village. Khinalug ceased to be isolated from the world, although still remaining a unique place. In the year 2008, Khinalug village was declared a state historical-architectural and ethnographic reserve of Azerbaijan by UNESCO.
